Native Roots is a mobile application startup which identifies plants native to Appalachia. Grounded in a sense of agricultural tradition, Native Roots differentiates itself from other plant identification apps by its ability to provide information on how to care for one's native plants, encourages users to grow their own native plants, and is partnered with local nurseries to assist in local conservation efforts in Appalachia.
